2 whole lobster tails
1/2 cup butter, melted + more for dipping
1/2 teaspoon ground paprika (more or less to your liking)
Sea Salt to taste
Ground pepper – I use white pepper – to taste
Garnish – can be sliced or wedged lemon or lime, cherry or grape tomatoes, whatever you like.
Preheat your broiler.
This can get a little messy if you’re doing this for the first time. A little practice and you’ll be a pro at it. Put your lobster tails on a baking sheet. Caution, they may slide around a bit.
Using kitchen shears, carefully cut top side of lobster shells lengthwise, NOT sideways. Face the lobster tail towards you long wise. Slightly pull apart the shells… gently. Season the lobster meat with equal amounts of the butter and the spices.
Put the tails under the broiler and broil until lightly browned and lobster meat is opaque. This will take between 5 to 10 minutes depending upon the size of the tail. Garnish and serve with additional melted butter for dipping.
