STRAWBERRY PRETZEL SALAD

Directions and Ingredients

For the Pretzel Base:

2 cups crushed pretzels
3/4 cup butter, melted
3 tbsp white sugar
Preheat oven to 350. Mix together pretzels, sugar & melted butter. Press into 9×13 pan. Bake for 10 minutes or until lightly toasted. Cool completely.

For the Middle Layer:

1 (8oz) pkg cream cheese, softened
1 cup white sugar
1 (8oz) container frozen whipped topping, thawed (I used the lite stuff)
In a medium bowl, beat sugar & cream cheese until smooth. Fold in whipped topping & spread evenly over cooled crust.
Refrigerate until set (1-2 hours).

For the top Strawberry Jell-O Layer:

1 (6oz) pkg strawberry flavored gelatin
2 cups boiling water
1 (16oz) pkg frozen strawberries, sliced
In a medium bowl, stir together gelatin & boiling water. Mix in frozen strawberries & stir until thawed. Pour over cream cheese layer. Refrigerate until completely chilled (3-4 hours, longer is even better).
