1 pound roll of sausage – regular or sage
1 large onion, diced
3 stalks celery, diced
1 (14 ounce) package cubed stuffing (plain or herbed. I use herbed)
1 teaspoon poultry seasoning
2 1/2 cups chicken broth
1/2 cup melted butter
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
Crumble and cook sausage over medium heat in medium sized skillet.
Add onion and celery to the skilled cooking and stirring occasionally until sausage is brown and no longer pink.
In a large bowl, place cubed stuffing. Add sausage mixture. Sprinkle with poultry seasoning. Pour broth and butter over the top and mix with a large spoon just to combine the stuffing.
Spoon the mixture into a 9 x 13 inch baking dish; cover. Bake 45 minutes or until golden on top.
