2 cups potatoes, cubed and peeled
4 cups sliced cabbage (about 1 small to medium head, sliced in half and then the halves sliced into thin wedges.)
1 large onion, chopped
2 teaspoons caraway seeds, crushed
1 lb Polish sausage, cooked, halved engthwise and cut into 1/2 inch slices
4 cups chicken broth
4-6 bread bowls

Place potatoes, cabbage, onion, caraway seeds and sausage in crock pot. Pour broth over all. Cover; cook on low for 10 – 12 hours or high for 5 – 6 hours.

To serve, Gently slice the top from the bread bowl. Scoop or tear the center of the bread bowl being careful not to pierce the sides or bottom. Ladel soup into bowl, butter the cut off top and use for dunking. The centers of the bread bowls are torn into pieces, rolled in olive oil and crouton made out of them. Of course, eating the center piece with just butter is excellent too!
