What you need – 1 box of chocolate brownie mix, your choice, but I have found that mixes with nuts in them do not work as well with this recipe.

Prepare brownies according to package directions. Line a 9×13 baking pan with aluminum foil (for easy removal) and lightly spray with cooking spray. Pour brownie mixture into pan and bake according to package directions, using the toothpick test for doneness. Cool brownies completely.

When cooled, remove brownies from pan. Using a football shaped cutter, cut brownies into football shapes. If you do not have the cutter, simply cut out a waxed paper cut out and cut with a PLASTIC knife. Using plastic help keeps the edges of the brownies intact. Ice the footballs with icing, cover and let the icing set completely. After it has set, pipe icing laces on the footballs and serve.
